junk alert

I left my awning hook at a campground, so ordered one on-line. It's made by "Campco". Here's what happened the first time I tried to use it:

This made from a very common alloy these days................called "Chinesium" Fabricating your own hook will probably work better.

Just use a wrought-iron fireplace poker. You could use it for campfires when you're not using it on your awning!

Here's another option to reach your awing strap...also helps with the pesky, noisy camping neighbors...
