Jumping in with both feet

Well next week I will be towing a 1996 28' airstream from central NH to central-southern Missouri.

I have a more than adequate tow vehicle, and, although it was many years ago I did some traveling in a earlier airstream (I'm inheriting this one, I traveled with my grandparents in their earlier rendition when I was a teen)

I've got some property in the Ozarks, and I'll be boondocking there part of the year, and taking the airstream to the gulf coast for work in the winter. (I'm retired military, and will be building a house on the property as time and money allows.)

My main reasons for posting is for recommendations for routes, stops, and the ant-sway hitch (I understand this is difficult to set up)
While they are still alive, my grandparents are not in any shape to help with even much information.

It's been sitting for 3 years used by another family member by a lake, I'll get new tires and likely a battery.

It was plumbed into sewer etc which will be disconnected before I get there.

Thank you for any information.

You should have the bearings checked, brakes checked, a battery, pull and lube the break away and you will be set. Anywhere near Shell Knob? Come visit.
