January Vacancy in FL Park?

Hello Airstream community!
My wife and I just picked up our 25 Flying Cloud and we are thrilled so far! We retire at the end of the year (12/31/19) and would like to find a nice RV Park in sunny Florida for the last couple of weeks in January or early February 2020... Of course we are "late to the dance" and everything is booked solid! Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice Park in FL (ideally on or close to the water) which may actually have a vacancy?
Thanks in advance!
Ed and Jan

Unfortunately if you want a site in FL in January you pretty much need to book it in the previous February. Some have reported success with a site that checks for cancellations and sends an e-mail:
Others have said it didn't work for them. Might be worth a try.

Cancellations typically occur as the date approaches. So you may not have much notice.

Also look for county parks. They are less well known. I suggested Long Point Park for a friend this past January and he got a site. It is a Brevard County Park near Sebastian Inlet about halfway down the east coast.

If youíre still looking come October, try John Prince County Park in Lake Worth (Palm Beach County). Itís about 2 miles to the beach. They fill up with seasonals, but only allow reservations to be made up to 90 days before the date of arrival. A friend was able to get 7 weeks in late January/February this year. If you limit your stay to 14 days max you may be able to get one of the lakeside sites, which have a 14 day limit and therefore donít get snapped up by seasonals.

We stayed there a couple of times before moving here from NY and liked the park.

Reservations by phone only, (561) 582-7992. Call at 7 AM 90 days before you will arrive.

Good luck!
