...and we've just unpacked from our 6-day run up the North Shore of Superior and back down home again. Beautiful leaves, gorgeous weather, and are we glad we got outta Dodge when we did. The 5 day forecast for the area we visited calls for high wind, lots of rain (forecast the possibility today of an inch an hour), low temps-days dipping to the 40's. Brrrr! ~G

Just got back from the WBCCI Autumn Leaf Rally at Pennwood Campground in Limestone, PA.

The place was packed; the food and entertainment was first rate; it was a great time!

Fall Creek Falls state park in Tennessee. Great park and always full (200+ spaces), just don't arrive after dark like we did. Some pretty narrow places and very tight turn arounds.

Fall Creek Falls, that's near my neck of the woods. I'm glad you had a clear, warm, and beautiful weekend. I concur on the tight spots. Had a friend with a huge Class A MoHo nearly loose his curbside rear out there.

Our Missouri Greater Ozarks Unit of Region 8 spent the weekend at Indian Summer Campground in Anderson, Mo. (in the very southwest corner of the state near the Oklahoma border). Great little shaded campground on the banks of a creek than runs fast enough it will put you to sleep.

We got a 2006 25' Classic. We either got the deal of the century or we will be acting out the road company production of 'The Money Pit'. Pete is just now starting to convert the queen to twins So if anyone needs a queen (Airstream queen, that is) or the bedspread or the wooden frame. Let me know. Also we wont be needing the microwave, so is up for grabs as well.

I wish I had known that you were rallying right in my back yard this weekend! Did you stay at the new KOA - Highland Orchards in North Stonington, or the Seaport Campground in Mystic?

Rocky Mt. Nat'l Park, Elk Rut and the Sand Hills of NE

First we were overnight the Iowa State Fairgrounds. (too bad the cottonwood trees were so small and puny)

Then Rocky Mountain National Park where the Elk invaded the campground.

Then Ft. Laramie Wy and a stop at a small town in Nebraska's Sand Hills.

Finally, a lovely free site in a town park with Sam, the dog. Small towns in Wyoming and Nebraska are ever so hospitable.

This was the first "longish" trip in the new Bambi. It was wonderful. We can't wait to go again.

Just pulled in from Sedona,AZ where we had participated in the Sedona Art Festival. Highlight of the weekend(other than making some $$$$) was meeting Zeppelinium(who also was doing the show) and the charming Marty. Had some great conversations re Airstreams and tons of laughs, not to mention liquid red stuff!!
Have completed the move from WA to AZ and should be breaking ground on the new house and studio any day now!!!

Cheers, Jeff

I see it like this Bob. We all know Gene is going to be partying hard this weekend....that's why he isn't bringing his family.

Joe has told me a few stories about Gene, and how he hasn't gotten his college years behind him. It's that or the fact that the razorbacks aren't the pride of the SEC this year. but I am not judging...I will just be here to fill in the BLANKS.

By the way...Gene Gone Wild tapes will be on sale after the Branson Rally this weekend. $5.00 plus postage. HD Discs are $10.00

Argosy's Maiden Voyage

After an eventful beginning, check out thread Rain, Sparks and the Highway Patrol, I had an enjoyable weekend of camping at Warrior Creek Corps of Engineers Park in Wilkesboro, NC. The sites were spacious, almost level, and the campground, although full, didn't seem at all crowded, I'll be back there in a few weeks. Too bad this park closes on the 31st of October for the season.
