Yup. I understand the design logic of putting the pump in the fuel tank, but hoo boy, sure makes it spendy when its r & r time!

I thought that was an SOB camper in the background...oh, you mean further in the background. I never look that far beyond an Airstream!

Just got back from staying with 5 airstream trailers, our Moho and found 2 vintage trailers down the road from us..........and the best was Saturday night around the fire we saw another 345 Moho coming down the road that we were camped on Made a new friend and hope to see them again. Beautiful weather and good friends both old and new.

This months trip was to visit family in Greenville and we decided to stay 20 miles away at Lery Percy State park. 15 or so campsites, super clean, oxbow lake, cabins, park office with a snack bar. We were 1 of 2 RV's there so basically we had the place to ourself.
Sunday morning was great for a walk in the woods or along the edge of the lake.

Oh Yeah, It was our first outing with the new interior. The flooring works great, easy to sweep up all of the 'nature' that gets inside. The recliners are really comfortable ( I fell asleep in mine Saturday night ) and the tilt up bed has a huge amount of storage underneath.
We arrived home about 2:00 and it was 78 degrees so we did the unthinkable-

yup-

we stripped the clearcoat from the front endcap

WOW - now I have to strip the rest of the thing!

It's the little people that talk in my head

Nah, you were correct, a 4+ foot diameter cypress tree on the lake edge because everyone knows the little people don't like to have their photo taken

Gene, since you asked, we went to a fellow Airstreamer's house for a Christmas party/dinner on Sunday. I hope that isn't the high point of the week here...

Well, it isn't Monday, but now that you asked. We went to Ft. Wilderness, Disney World for our annual Christmas trip to Disney. This was our first Christmas at Ft. Wilderness. Honestly, we used our Airstream as a hotel room. The only meals we ate there were breakfasts each morning. We hardly used the cable and only drove away from the camp site once on the day we arrived. The rest of the time was spent in the parks.

The weather was great. We arrived on 12/20 and it rained that night, but that was the only rain we got while we were there. The night time temps were in the upper 50's to low 60's and the day time temps were in the upper 70's to low 80's. Mostly sunny with some cloud cover, but it was definitely shorts weather for me.

We were sad to leave on Christmas eve, but we needed to get home and get ready for Christmas, so we headed home. Today, I'm back at work and getting ready for the new year. Right now, I'm looking forward to the next camping adventure: Can Opener 2008!

Feels like Monday

We returned yesterday from a 4 day jaunt in the Airstream for Christmas at Lake San Antonio. Beautiful weather and lot's of wildlife including a mountain lion, a golden eagle and a few coyotes much to the chagrin of our resident roadrunner. The roadrunner would spend the afternoons on the hillside behind us catching bugs. We spent the afternoons watching the fish jump in the lake.

We just got back from 5 days at Ft. Wilderness at Walt Disney World. The weather was great! It rained the first night late, but we weren't in the parks when it did and after that the weather was beautiful. We got back about 7:30 Monday evening in time for Santa.

Now we are waiting 'till next week when we head back to FL for the Can Opener Rally at Santa Rosa Beach, FL.

Just got back today. We went to Slab City, Ca. and then to Tucson and headed back via the high desert. Stopped for a night at Cadiz Dry Lake an enjoyable 1100 mi. trip and it was cold everywhere.
