after 2500 miles in France with California plate and american paper.we have our new french plate .Now we can travel with the law for us without fears the cops. It's happy day.
I know 3 airstream owners in France on the forum. I never see on the road or motorway.
it's very expensive in france(cost, taxe,) and very difficult with the law.
hi all
1 us gallon = 3.785 liters
1 liter in france = 1.5 usd
1 gallon = 5.677 usd (in france)
we have 75% state taxe on petrol in france
we have a v8 318 efi 5.2l so imagine ,i cry.
Happy to see you've gotten your french license plate. is it in normal or collectible "grey card" ( or title ) ?
I think the solution with the increasing petrol price, is to equip with the LPG system. Same consumption but low price at the gaz station although the equipment is expensive... Then you have to make lot of miles to amortize it.
Now it's € 0,44 for one liter. I live at the belgium frontier... and it's the best price in LPG
Here is my plate in American size; You know why 27 ?
Hi Fred &brouno and all
well done with getting your airstream paper's,i am just about to go though the mine (test certificat)or tuv in german, with my siliver streak clipper, wish me luck.i'm still going to keep the old ohio plates on it any way.

Hi Ron;
You're, one more time , right !
NO need to go to the " mines" ( I don't know the traduction but this word means french security inspection ) because, sure, your trailer is more than 25 years old and it's a collectible trailer.
You can keep all the genuine lights, turn signals in red, rear rond reflectoring parts just because it's collectible ... dixit the FFVE president when i phoned him about that.
So I suppose you knew that, Perry; You'rent at your first trailer, isn't it ?
Hey Ron, you were afraid to see that, one day,on the web; Now it's time; Do you remember; yes , of course... Great time, too short !
