Insect Repellent Soap

I love especially the bath bombs from this US manufacturer, and this item is new since I last placed an order.

If you are one of those people that attracts tiny, biting critters, these soaps are great for keeping them at bay, and the addition of the luffa quality is appealing.

Great topic, we will try that soap.

We have been looking for other options to repel ticks that are considered safe. Has anyone tried biteblocker:

or Repel:

?

Stick to Picaridin Insect Repellent. It was rated number one by Consumer Reports and the Permethrin Premium Clothing Insect Repellent works amazingly well too. I've hiked through trails where there where thousands of mosquitoes and it was like I had an invisible shield around me.

I'll stick to spray DEET for the skin and spray permethrin for the clothes, and use plain soap to remove the DEET residue at the end of the day. That combination has worked well for me for the last three years.

Never had a problem with ticks, so I don't know what works best to repel them.

You want a bomb in your bath? I'm guessing auto spell took out your balm.

I'm up for tying Picardidin after I read the article in Consumer Reports. I usually don't use repellent and just look for and remove ticks when I get them. I'm in the woods everyday.

No, they're really called "bath bombs".

They don't explode, just melt, bubble and fizz beautifully.

Hi Maggie
You always have such good ideas. Sorry we'll miss you at Moraine View this weekend - we are working for our local Lion's Club at a local fair. Have fun and tell everyone I said hello. I still use my crocheted pot holders all the time

You're sweet.

Would be great if you could join us...maybe next year.

You're going to be doing good deeds, and that is important, too.
