need some info on best size of airstream trailer to travel full time for two i been looking on the web for some time and see a few 34 foot trailers that seem to be nice to live in full time but i am not sure the problems i would come across in finding camping sites to park in i am from the north east and a lot of parks seem to be small i have a f350 4x4 to pull it with thanks for any help beach-hobo

My wife and I traveled full time for 7 months in our 28 ft CCD Int'l, with a large golden retriever with us, and we were VERY comfortable. I think most state campsites can only fit 30' or smaller, so you should look at lengths of 30' or smaller if you plan to use. However, size of trailer depends on how much space you need. Some people could probably get buy on a 25' full time if they didn't mind the cramped quarters, others may not be able to stand it at all and would need at least 34' with a slide out. It's really a personal decision. Go to a dealer with different sizes and see what you think may work for you. Only you will know the answer as everyone's needs and lifestyles differ.

We too had the same issue. One way that helped was to ask a dealer to "let us have time to ourselves" in their lot. We then went into the three "candidates" 34,31,25 and just sat and imagined ourselves living in the space. Sitting, sleeping, bathroom, closet space, cooking (we like to cook together) etc. It really helped us to visualize living in the trailer together.

We selected the 31. We spend 4 months in Arizona in the winter and other trips amount to another two months. We get along just fine.

But as others will confirm, it is a very personal decision.

I think the key for a full time trailer might be storage space. Due to the shower being on the curb side, our Classic only has one full size closet. My 27' Safari had a side bathroom with two closets. While I enjoy the living space of my 30' Slide Out, I wouldn't consider full timing without a double closet.

I wouldn't go less then 27' based on our experience with our 25' Safari. The forward part is ok, but the bed/closet/bath area is very tight, and we are not fulltimers. I'm getting size envy.

We have a 32' 89 Excella. We have been able to camp at all the state parks we camped in with our other 29 ft travel trailer. We have a closet with 3 doors that gives us lots of storage. This AS is the right size for us. I tow with a Chevy 2500HD crew cab with short bed.
