Indiana Parks

Traveling thru Indiana next month from Michigan. We had luck finding a park last year that allowed entry and provided electricity, nothing else. Can anyone tell me if that is a state wide situation? We are looking for a place to stop overnight other than a highway rest area, Walmart parking lot, etc..

Perhaps I should have added, we will be traveling in February. Any parks, private or otherwise. We will probably be headed south alone the west side of Indiana. Highway 41 is our first choice.

If you had simply typed "Indiana State Parks" in the Google - or whatever you use for a search engine - box you could have had all this info yesterday.

Brown County State Park and Harmonie State Park have a heated bathhouse, open all year. Otherwise, electric only. There is usually a water fill available in the other parks. Dump stations would be available for dump, just no rinse water.

Raccoon Lake, IN - Indiana State Parks Camping Reservations
indianastateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/raccoon-lake/.../campgroun...
Includes the Raccoon State Recreation Area and Historic Mansfield Roller Mill. ... Cecil M. Harden Lake resulted from the damming of the creek for flood control.

We have stayed here and enjoyed it. Not very far off 41.

Turkey Run State Park is just east of Hwy 41 north of Rockville. It's a beautiful park, right on Sugar Creek east of where it flows into the Wabash River. This park has great trails through rocky canyons. In the winter, the water flowing over these rock formations can form ice falls (water falls made of ice). Campsites have electricity. Bathrooms have showers. Doesn't look like they have full hookups. I grew up in Indiana and enjoyed tent camping in this park, especially in the winter. You'll have the place nearly to yourself.

Ceraland should be open, I think. Probably depends on if/how much snow.

Campgrounds | CERA

I think it's just 8-9 miles east of I65, exit 64.
