We are once again on the road with Lucy heading out west to pick up her new running mate, Ethel, who is the new truck camper that we ordered in May. We have already gotten Fred, our new truck. He arrived in August. We have Fred all broken-in, ready to take on Ethel.
We departed Santa Rosa Beach on Thursday. We have camped in Jackson, Mississippi, and Little Rock, Arkansas, along the way. Tonight, we are camped in Oklahoma City in a pouring down rain storm. We were able to make camp before the rain began.
We plan to arrive in the Denver area on Monday evening, and pick up Ethel at the truck camper factory on Tuesday.
Here are a couple of pictures of Fred packed up for the trip, and Fred and Lucy together.

We made it to Colorado. We actually arrived here on Monday, but have not had much to report since. Ethel, the truck camper, was not quite ready at the factory. We have gotten Fred, the truck, all prepared to take on Ethel. Fred is now sporting air bags to help with Ethel's weight, and has the necessary brackets to keep Ethel tied down.
Lucy has a nice campsite in St. Vrain State Park with a view of the Rockies out her dinette window. It is 39 degrees here this morning, but is supposed to go up in the 70's this afternoon.
Ethel is supposed to be completed today. We will post some pictures of her getting loaded on Fred.
Here are a couple of photos of Ethel on the factory floor and a view from Lucy's dinette window with the Rockies in the background.

I just got rid of a Sunline Popup Truck Camper and we liked it pretty well. All you need and nothing you don't. I sold the POS 92 Ford IDI Diesel truck that carried it but I liked the camper. Mine weighed less than 1500lb.
