From what I was reading in some reviews, not only do you no longer need to be a member, you don't have be an Airstream. I haven't confirmed that, because I could not connect to their web site.

Also a newbie in the PNW. We are headed to Cape Disappointment SP the weekend over of the 12th then to Oregon with our 19' FC. The crab feed in Lacey in May sounds good too. Time to get on the roads!

Here's some links to posts with pics for local trips I did recently.

Anacortes and Fidalgo Bay Resort
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/...ge-111490.html

Point Hudson
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/...nd-115232.html

Visited Kayak Point to, just south of Stanwood. Was ok, beach was nice but park was average. Stanwood was great for walking around and getting breakfast in the old downtown part.

Lakeshore RV in Chelan park booked for early May, Klaloch and Sol Duc booked for Independence Day, Oregon Coast booked for Memorial Day. Gonna get my money's worth.

AS out

Point Hudson is our favorite park in Washington State. We go there many times a year and have spent one week there in January this year.
It's a funky sort of place with lots to see and enjoy and a great town within walking distance. The bakery on the hill is not to be missed.

OK, MY MISTAKE

Any make or model of RV can stay at the Land Yacht Harbor.

WBCCI members pay $18 (including tax) not $17, a member is a member no matter which unit you belong to or if you are a MAL (member at large)

All others pay $27(including tax) including Airstream RVs that do not belong to WBCCI

There are discounts with Good Sam or Escapees.

Membership here is $25 a year. Let me know if you want a membership packet, Nancy 425 359 4191.

The web site will be up and running by 4/1/14 and maybe sooner

The number for reservations is 360 491 3750, Pat.

FYI we are very close to Red Wing Casino, and about 25 miles to Little Creek Casino.

Lots of room at Kalaloch in Olympic National Park right now. Picture is from the beautiful day yesterday. Definitely isn't as nice today, but that's just fine out here.

Cheers,
steve

Wow, Land Yacht harbor prices have gone way up since we stayed there a couple years ago! We always stay there when we're working in Seattle.

I haven't de-winterized yet. I usually wait until a few weeks before we have a trip planned, and we're not going anywhere for another month yet. But I do have a heater going in there so it won't get musty.

PBearSailor: Kalaloch looks beautiful! That has been on my to-do list for entirely too long.

I'm definitely putting Kalaloch in Olympic National Park on our list of places to stay. What a beautiful place, nice picture!

I once took one of our cats out on the ocean beach on a leash. As soon as she realized that the waves were causing water to come toward us, she immediately jumped up about waist high on me and grabbed hold. Before I could react to that, she had climbed until all 4 feet were on the top of my head. It was not a pleasant experience, so I haven't tried it since.

Dewinterize this weekend! Ready to camp! Illahee vs Scenic Beach for our post-winter break-out. Anyone tried either/both?
