Ideas for (southern) storage for a couple months.....
Greetings all:
We plan to travel from Canada in Mid September to attend the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM in early October. After that we would like to find a (good and safe) location that I can store our 28' Flying Cloud for a couple months...
It does not have to be directly in the Abque area, but that would not be bad either. The plan is to store the trailer, come home to Canada and then head back south in the early New Year. The idea behind this is to first reduce the amount of towing one has to do. But also to eliminate the needs to WINTERIZE and tow the unit through what can be really crappy weather later in the year.
On our second trip south the plan is to travel the NM, AZ, Cal areas and play snowbird. Thats why I mentioned that the storage (really) does not have to be in NM as it could also be in AZ or Nevada. As those are both states that we drive into on our routes south. We are located in central Canada and normally try to stay east of the mountains as we go south in winter to stay out off crappy roads. We normally route through either Denver or head further west and go through Salt Lake City and into Vegas.
With luck someone can give me a heads up some good options for Storage in a warm enough location that I don't have to winterize. As a final note - Covered storage would not hurt my feelings but it is not mandatory. The big thing is finding a place where the trailer is safe!
Thanks in advance for any input
Cheers
Doug
