We are planning a trip to Idaho in either late July or mid August. We are wanting to stay in Northern Idaho for about 5-7 days but I need help with reccomendations on where to camp. I've been on the web for awhile but nothing is better than peoples comments about places where they have stayed. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Where about in Northern Idaho? If you will be as far south as Moscow / Lewiston there are a couple places I know of. Just outside of Lewiston there is the Clearwater River Casino that has RV hookups and a view of the Clearwater River. Just across the Idaho/Washington border from Moscow there is a small RV park operated by the city of Pullman. It is located near the city playfields and on the Chipman Trail.

Coeur d'Alene
Tim,
We stayed at the Blackwell Island RV Park last July for a week enroute to Washington State and were very satisified. We do not usually stay at the large resort type campgrounds but Blackwell Island is close to everything and has water access with a small beach and a great place to launch the kayak. The staff was exceptionally organized and friendly. The city park in Coeur d' Alene is very close with a lot of free activities.
There ar two very nice state parks south of Sand Point Id. One is "Round Lake" state park and the other is" Farragut" state park both are beauitful. Farrragut is the largest of the two.
