A motor vehicle is a lethal weapon, and as such people must be very aware of the damage that can happen and to pay much attention to their driving, however I could not watch the rest of the video.

When I was of the age to get my license there was a wreck of two cars smashed and intertwined displayed with manaquins. It was very sobering. It was placed on the road as a reminder for all that passed.

Not just new drivers, but every driver should have to see this before renewing their licenses.

Shocking. I just posted it on my Facebook page and had my daughter watch it. Cell phones are part of it, but a lot of it is just not paying attention. We also have to remember, that we can hang up our cell phones, ipods etc., but we can still be a victim of this. I think about it everyday during my 100 mile RT commute.

Im Sorry I had to stop the film. I cant watch ,but I hope others will especially our young drivers. Please remember DRIVING IS A FULL TIME JOB! PLEASE NO CELL PHONES or TEXTING while driving. Distracted driving KILLS as many people per year as drunk drivers.
Please wear your seat belts and make sure everyone is buckled up before the vehicle moves. Its not your driving I worry about, its that fool that runs RED lites and hits you and you are ejected from your vehicle that bothers me.
Please restrain those children in car seats and booster seats.
LET'S ALL BE SAFE.
OFF MY SOAP BOX NOW.

I couldn't watch the whole thing either, but it sure sends a powerful message. Our son is 17, and we were invited to attend one of his driving school classes where they talk about the dangers of driving. We were the only parents that showed up. They showed videos like this, and had an ER nurse who talked about the patients she treats that have been in car accidents, the injuries they receive, and how those who survive can't believe how quickly it all happened. Every parent of those kids should have been there - we all need to be reminded why it's so important to be vigilant while on the road.

When I was a teenager, I was a passenger in a car that was being tailgated on a twisty two lane road. The driver of the car I was in sped up to 80mph trying to get away from the tailgater, until the rest of us in the car screamed enough to get him to turn off onto another road. I never rode with that kid again. Unfortunately for the tailgater, he ended up crashing his car shortly afterwards. They put his smashed car in the mall parking lot, right along the main road in town, for everyone to see. The sign on it warned about the dangers of drinking & driving. You could see the blood all over the interior of the car, all the broken glass, and twisted metal. That certainly made an impression on me.

Watch out for the other Guy

I have studied many of these accidents in class. Accident Reconstruction. Some of these were staged for investigators to reconstruct the incident from eye witness reports and measurements. It is very interesting how accidents usually take 3 errors to initiate. Drive Safe
Be attentive of your surroundings, insure your equipment is in good shape, don't overdrive the situation.
The biggest thing is to never trust anyone in motion, Mass x Velocity = Force remember your Loved one's bodies will not withstand much force before death.

Thats why, when we start to travel it will be adventure in the study of country back roads. I will NEVER pull in a city, much less a small town. I know my limits.

It's OK...we all need to be reminded to drive safely from time to time. It's a very powerful message. I was struck by how quickly everything happens. There is not time to react in many cases.

this is a viral video.

it made the WORLD WIDE web more than a year ago, perhaps 2.

in the 'stream world we be SLOW to find these things...

it has been the subject of many posts on blogs, forums, social networks and ALL the video sites (last year)

it's the equivalent of a chain letter sent to "just 12 friends" and has circled the globe many times.

no doubt it has or WILL make snopes or other 'skeptics' websites.
___________

the music is from a 2003? album named "fallen" by a rock/alt band from little rock called evanescense

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_(Evanescence_album)

My Immortal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the band and song writer have been very popular on EYEtunes, download/music websites and the viral web community.

they've been wildly popular in europe, down under and so on, and sold megaplatinum copies of the tune.

perhaps they're involved, perhaps not.

some1 will eventually post the origins and purpose of the vid.
_________

human are compelled to rubber neck, it's hardwired into da'genes.

and we are prone to havin' our emotional strings pulled by scenes of tragedy and heartbreak...

but ask yourself these questions...

-did looking at pictures of cancerous lungs keep ya from smoking?

-do pictures of battle scenes stop wars?

-IF the video was a series of children

...accidentally shooting themselves with daddy's gun, would u give up yer weapons?

-did the 'evils of sex' and 'refer madness' health class videos...

...keep ya from samplin' the inevitable vices of youth?

-was there an airstream ANY PLACE in the video?

cheers

Hi Lads, how you doing
I've seen that clip before, and it's still scary. We had our worst car crash in the history of the state here in Ireland a few weeks back, eight young fellas in one car, hit an oncoming car with one fella in it, the only one not killed was the fella driving with his seven friends in his car.
Eight dead in one hit, all from the same area. Bad day indeed.
Good luck
Pete
