I-90 between Coeur d'Alene and, say, Helena...

Never driven that route and I'll be doing it this weekend with the Airstream. What am I looking at in terms of grades, passes, etc? Any worries of snow at this time of year?

Just normal interstate driving, with a couple of passes which could slow you down a bit, but nothing to worry about. Snow is always a possibility, but in general it is a bit early for any real problems.

Here is the web cam URL for Lookout pass, one of the two you will go over.

Just watch out for the animals but you knew that. Last year about this time somebody hit a moose on a motorcycle. Not on that hiway I don't think but up there somewhere. Should be smooth sailing.

Thanks guys! I'm thinking that I'll get some chains for the Suburban and for the Airstream just in case. The local tire chain has a policy that if you buy them, and then don't use them, you can return them at the end of the season.
