Exclamation How many miles did U log in 2006

Just wondering how many miles you have logging in your travels last year.

I just went on the road in Jan so my miles don't count here.

What was your favorite spot?

Many fun miles

We got our AS in late April 2006 and have logged approximately 13,500 miles in 26 states. No international travel yet, don't have enough airline points to upgrade the AS to business class.

We logged more than I thought we would, around 3000 miles, while still performing work on our trailer.

It was a moving year for us from Texas to Virginia so we didn't log many miles; only 4,178 for us. We did have fun aside from the move. We agree that there are certain medical proceedures more pleasant than moving.

4500 miles on Airstream. 13000 on TV

We managed to put 4500 miles on the trailer and 13000 miles on our Titan on a 5 month Miami-Quebec-Miami sojourn last year (lots of side trips). No running gear problems - did have to replace the water heater and have the AC fixed (relay failed under warranty - no big deal).

Pretty robust for a 20 year old rig.

Hey Bob,

We logged about 2,600 miles which is significantly less than usual. I became dependant on my wife to drive so she wasn't quite as keen to drive to some of the places I'd usually head to due to very narrow mountain roads. She's still a tad nervous towing the trailer with the '57 wagon although when it's not attached she drives the car all the time. Hopefully this year we'll get her a bit more comfortable towing on the narrow two lane mountain roads, and I will learn to keep my mouth shut and quit offering "coaching". Oops!

How many miles did U log in 2006

Greetings Bob!

Last year was just shy of my normal miles traveled with either the Airstream or Argosy in-tow at 6,750 miles. This trip replicated one that I took 25 years earlier after graduating from SIU-C to research my family tree. The major difference was that I was Airstreaming rather than tenting -- and my vehicle didn't die after exiting the Eisenhower Tunnel. Basically, the trip followed much of US 2 going West to Washington state then South to Salem, OR for the WBCCI International Rally. After returning to Illinois, I made a number of trips within the region including one to Plymouth, WI for a VAC Rally.

This summer will be one where my travels are limited as I will be trying to save for the trip to the 2008 WBCCI International Rally in Montanna. My major trip will be to the Rocky Mountain VAC Rally with a planned stop at the Region 7 Rally on may way back to Illinois just in time to start another school year.

We picked up Lucy brand new on June 1, 2006. By December 31st we had spent 82 nights in her, and had pulled her 10,100 miles.
