Home from MN

Just getting home from our annual “go north for a break from mid west heat and humidity” trip. This year to mid/northern MN and loved it.

Itasca SP is one of the best SPs we’ve been to. Beautiful views, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking. Very popular, some folks book their sites a year in advance. Our lab Gunner swam across the Mississippi River! (Ok, at the headwaters where it is 20 ft wide).

Also Superior north shore. Beautiful coastline!

Itasca State Park has been a family favorite of ours for decades.


Nice shot of Gold Point. I've scuba dived on the wreck below it that led to the construction of the Split Rock lighthouse.
