Hitting the road again

If anyone is looking for an Airstream on the Highway. I will be out there. I expect to leave Missoula tomorrow morning after a weighing and a stop at the grocery store.
I will be heading east on I-90, South on I-15 and East on I-70 all the way to Dayton. I hope to make it to near Salt Lake City tomorrow and Grand Junction Saturday. Past Denver Sunday and a couple more days to Dayton and the Factory.

See you out there!

PS I made an offer on a house in Missoula today.

Well I made it further than I expected. I am now south of Salt Lake city turning South East to pick up I-70 tomorrow. I have not head from my friend in Grand Junction yet. Not sure if I am stopping there. May make Denver Tomorrow.

Michelle-
My wife and I are thinking of you all the way. Both for your new home in Missoula and your safe journey east. Please keep an ear on the weather and road reports.

Wish I was out there . . . not nearly enough road travel for pleasure these past few years, BUT . . . I am working on the fifth house we've owned the past four years, and the fourth one we've lived in.

It's all good: tractor/trailer/house. Just never enough time to do it all!!!

Hi Michelle -- For sure you'd have been in for some wet blustery days if you'd taken the northern route.

What are you having done at J.C. this time?

Michelle, we went through GJ Saturday, in the other direction, but didn't see any other Airstreams. You'd better keep moving, snow coming in right behind you Sunday.

Given the events of the evening probably totaling the trailer.
The good news is they countered my offer on the house and we down to the fine points of bargining.

Gene,
I made it out of the mountains and down to the Denver area. I got wacked by a police SUV in Avarda. Need less to say my trip just go stalled.
I was on track for St Louis Monday.

Michelle, I just saw the photos of your trailer. Can you get it inside, out of the snow? Or at least tape some plastic over the damaged windows?

I don't know if you're still online, but there is a Flying J about 15 miles East of that interchange. You may find what you need to get it buttoned up for the night, and spend the rest of the night there.

Flying J - Aurora (Denver)
16751 E. 32nd Ave
Aurora CO 80011
I-70 Exit 285

Michelle, there's an Airstream dealer nearby, Windish. It's on the service road on the north side of the 6th Ave Freeway just east of the Smith/Union Blvd. interchange. I'm not their biggest fan, but they did a good job replacing the rear panel on our Safari after they backed it into another trailer's tongue. Dakota Ridge is the best RV park on West Colfax near there and about the only one on the west side of Denver. Sorry to hear about your mishap and hope you can make it to Jackson Center to get things fixed.

If the Arvada police tell you you have no claim against them because of sovereign immunity, they don't know the law. I guess your insurance company will handle it.

Michelle....I have also responded to your other thread.

If you need anything at all.....please let us know. Those of us in the Denver area are here to help.

There are two Airstream Dealers in the area and we can assist you with your decision if you need to get your coach in. One has a good service department, the other doesn't.

Please respond to either thread or send a private message if you need help.

I will be online all day.
