Highway 9 south of Breckenridge

We are Going to Breckenridge, Co tomorrow. From Austin Mapquest show us to come into Breckenridge on Hwy 9. Has anyone ever pulled a 30 AS on this road? How is the Pass over the mountains. Would it be better to stay on IH25 and go to denver the thur the tunnel on IH70? Please let me know because we are packing...
Thank you,
Astro

I haven't towed on the road, but that's because I've avoided it. The Hoosier pass just before Breck is full of very tight switchbacks. You could do it, but I wouldn't want to. You'd have a long line of cars behind you by the time you got down.

I'm sure it's too late now, but I towed my 25' Safari over that pass with no problems. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Great road, great small towns.

As far as Colorado passes go, CO9 down from Hoosier is not bad. Yes, you'll get cars behind you, but there are plenty of pull outs along the way. You'll be fine as long as you take it easy on the brakes.
