Cool PeeWee! I've kicked the tires on the Airstream on S. Congress. Two posts later utee94 sez:

IIRC it's a '64 -- nothing original and it'll never be a travel trailer again. It takes an honest Airstreamer to say that this Airstream is just one small part of a couple blocks of urban novelty. Good food. Eclectic shops.

Sad to see it off the traveling road, but at least it looks nice, and is still a visible part of the Airstream world.

I just drove by the one at 4 points (Hwy 620 & FM 2222) about 15 minutes ago, it was nice and shinny, just around the corner down FM2222 is another Airstream turned into a roadside business. This has become the in thing to do in the Austin area.

I also saw the one at Hwy 620 & FM 2222 last Sunday. It looks cool, but as mentioned before, to bad it is not cruising down the road to a campsite.
