You might have to open the glovebox farther—you can swing it down to the "dump" position. Open the glovebox, and see where the top edge of the rear panel of the glovebox makes contact, then give it a good pull. You won't break the glovebox; it should snap right back in when you're done. But opening the glovebox past its stops allows you to reach into the dashboard to find the USB port, that may have gotten shoved back there by accident.
