Hello from the road!

Hi all! Two days in and two days to go. The wife I left Jersey Mon morn, stopped just short of Pedro last night, and are currently tucked in at New Smyrna Beach RV resort, just past Daytona. Tomorrow will (hopefully) be an uneventful drive to Key Largo, on our way to Bluewater Key. No pics, yet.
Good night, all

You missed us by about 5 days. We over nighted at the park 10/15-10/16. We were in the very back row, next to the last spot on the left end. The park is very nice, great views but a little tricky getting in and out of the spots.

It's a old, funky park; we've seen some near-misses. The owner has removed, sadly, a lot of trees to gain exit for the big boys, that did not exist years ago. Sorry to miss you.

We'll be in the Keys in a few weeks, keep posting.

Your Forum name provides me with many entertaining visual images.

Good morning from Bluewater Key!

Got here yesterday after taking a leisurely drive down route 1 with stops at Lor-e-lei's for a pina colada (11 in the morning?, 5 o'clock somewhere) and a brief stop at Long Key State Park. Nice campsites at Long Key, saw an airstream moho.
Anyhow, got here around 3 and spent the first few hours setting up, checking in, convincing my wife that it won't always be this windy and that the water temp would go up (how would i know this?)
I've read different articles from people on various sites about the management of this place. All I can tell you is that you get what you put into it. We live in a comm. assoc. setup, so I don't mind the "rules". As far as personalities go, I found the woman who greeted us to be very helpful.
Here's a couple pics, I'll post more later, as we go to Bahia Honda and so on.
BTW, had dinner at Mangrove Mama's last night (MM20), open mic night, lots of fun!

The wind probably won't change too much -which is why it's great in the summer - but it's 80.8 degrees in the water today.
US NODC Coastal Water Temperature Guide

If that doesn't get her in the water - get her one of these:

Keeps the fire coral from becoming a problem too!

There is a great Park across the highway from the VLA.
