Heading out tomorrow to get her...
1500 miles each way... Other than the LONG drive, I'm excited to get her!
Can't wait to finally see it in person and being it to its new home in Texas...
This will be strange...it's been a while since I traveled any great distance without Cosmo or the Motorhome...I'll be using roadside hotels, at least for a few days...yuck! Got spoiled with having our rolling hotel or home with me...

I got to go all the way to western PA to get it...
I'm sitting here in a roadside motel, doing some work and trying not to touch too much in here...
500 miles today, will shoot for 600 tomorrow...Puts me somewhere near Louisville or Cincinnati I think...

Not that I had the experience myself, but in order to minimize the door popping open on the road I ducktaped her shut. I know, not pretty for the trip back home but I'd rather keep her intact...
Next stop, Columbus Ohio for some new tires, just in case....

I can't make the LBJ grasslands rally since I have drill that weekend. Too bad, the cowboy food sounded wonderful, and I have a "new" vintage too (and new cowboy boots too!). Guess both will have to wait till next time.
I still have the Monaco. Still live in it full time in S Austin. Still "homeless" with now 3 "homes" with wheels...

Getting new shoes! Carlisle are not my favorite, but they should be safer for the remaining 1400 miles than the 2002 tires on there...
