Congratulations. That is one great looking Airstream. Would love to see some interior pics too.

Have a safe drive home.

Not that I had the experience myself, but in order to minimize the door popping open on the road I ducktaped her shut. I know, not pretty for the trip back home but I'd rather keep her intact...

Next stop, Columbus Ohio for some new tires, just in case....

Whitsend and cap-n-red,

I can't make the LBJ grasslands rally since I have drill that weekend. Too bad, the cowboy food sounded wonderful, and I have a "new" vintage too (and new cowboy boots too!). Guess both will have to wait till next time.

I still have the Monaco. Still live in it full time in S Austin. Still "homeless" with now 3 "homes" with wheels... 

Getting new shoes! Carlisle are not my favorite, but they should be safer for the remaining 1400 miles than the 2002 tires on there...

Nice!! Does she need restoring at all? What's the interior look like?

Oh BTW, you need to update your profile with your new addition.

Trailer looks nice.
I wouldn't fret about the Carlisle Tires. I had them on a utility trailer always exposed to the sunlight for 7 years before one of them went. I now have them on my Airstream. They are probably no better or worse than anything else out there.

I wish I had seen your thread earlier. I know a great Walmart south of Nashville that is an RV friendly site. They were great to me and have a great delli for dinner - good food. Lots of nice motorhomes there the 4 times I used it on the way to JC for my trailer repairs.

Very good looking Airstream. This a second home or you going to take it on the road? You have quite the collection. I like the vintage look of this one.

Travel Safe.

That is really a great looking trailer. Have you guys started checking out the systems? It looks like it was very well cared for and in recent use.
