Headed to Duke for an asap medical appt on Monday

We are in Columbia, KY headed to Chapel Hill this weekend for an asap medical appt. We wanted to get to at least Asheville or a little further. Seems the weather is so great everyone is full tomorrow night.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Duke is in Durham and UNC is in Chapel Hill... just FYI. They are the most fiercest rivalry of all rivalries in any sports whether college, pro and high school. I grew up in NC and am the hardcore Tarheel fan. There is a wall between UNC and Duke which is called I-40! a wee six miles between the campuses.

See my response in your other post on Tom Johnson campground in Marion. Good luck with your visit at Duke.

Where do you plan on parking when in Durham?

Spring Hill RV Park

This RV Park is outside of Chapel Hill near John Edward’s home and not too convenient toDuke. There is an RV Park closer to Duke. I’ll look for it’s name.

I would offer you a place to park if you needed just that. I have plenty of room but no hookups. I'm very convenient to Duke. Just an offer if you need it.

I would highly recommend Mountain Stream Campground just outside of Marion. In a beautiful area just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We are at a KOA in Statesville and so happy to stay warm. They had a cancellation so it worked out fine. We traveled 400 miles today so tomorrow will be easy. Spring Hill Park is where we were before so going back. May have to move spots a few times because of football games.

We looked at Triangle....never in a million years would I stay there. We had reservations and they wanted us to back down in a hole that would have torn up the bottom of our trailer. We went to NC State Fairground cg til we got in Spring Hill at a monthly rate. NC was a flat $30 a day. I stayed there 2 months while Jackson was in the hospital...yes $900 a month.

It is all good. We will be fine and thanks for the help.
