Headed out on a long trip-7,000 miles

Yes, we left May 3 from Garden Valley, Idaho and have gone so far through Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and are currently in Ohio. Next going through WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, and on to Texas to be at the San Marcos Rally. Then on to NM, CO, UT and back to Idaho by the 2nd week in June.

Right now we are experiencing some foul weather in northern Ohio. We had a lot of head and side winds coming across the prairie states. I plan on publishing my mpg on this trip at the end for our 2008 V-10. Our last trip I averaged 8.6 mpg towing around 5,000 miles.

Hi, sounds like a great trip; We need stories and pictures.

In Blue, are states that we have had our trailer in; And in Red are states where we need to go in the future.

Since I reside just north of Santa Fe, NM, give shout if anything/ surprises happen, or if you want our opinions on "sight and sounds" in our area. We have a Region 11 week end Rally in Santa Fe, June 5th, may be too soon; anyway, your journey sounds like a fun road warrior mix. Roll on.

My wife was born and raised in Santa Fe and we visit her Dad and relatives at least 2-3 times a year. Angielina's is our favorite place to eat in Espanola. We usually stay at the RV park on Cerrillos Road but will try the newer park west of town. SF is a fun place, but parking my big TV is not fun in those narrow streets.

Been dodging tornados here in Amish country, Ohio. Headed to Cinci tomorrow for a couple of days, then on to Va. We are currently staying in a 10-10-10 campground, Evergreen in Mt. Eden, OH. It's in our top 10 list of best campgrounds in the US.

Sounds like an adventure well underway. Winfield Corp of Engineers campground near Agusta Georgia is a great place to stop

It's sort of comparing apples to oranges, but try to stay a night or two at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground - just wondering how the 10-10-10 compares to the "happiest place on earth".

Please continue to post about your travels - will be there myself shortly.

Stop by TAHI (Texas Airstream Harbor, Inc. ) in the East Texas Piney Woods for a few days. Might be able to join you in San Marcos. If the river is up, plan on taking the inner tube float the campground offers - but watch out for the over zealous college crowd....brings back memories of a lifetime ago.

Made it to Cedarbrook CG in Lebanon, OH, on the outskirts of Cincinnati. Staying for 2 days visiting relatives, then on to South Carolina. It's a decent CG but gravel and older out buildings. I'd give it a "C".
