Hate to outdress everyone else at the party..

Pulled into our favorite local campground for a much needed recharge to find out there's the Louisiana Pelican Winnie rally going on. I'm smack dab in the middle of a Class A Winnebago Festival!

I'm sure they're thinking one of two things as they turned and watched me drive by:

1. That poor guy. I remember when all we could afford was some dumpy old trailer (if they're the snooty type)

2. Man! Look at that Airstream! I've always wanted one of those.

Personally, I'd like to think they're thinking #2.

If they're in Class "A"s, then most likely they're thinking, "How can he live with no slideouts?"

Or they are thinking.... poor guy doesn't have to put away the breakfast dishes and unhook the sewer and water every time he wants to leave the campground to go sight seeing.

Unless they have toads, in which case it's, "Wonder what it's like to be able to back into the campsite without unhitching?"

Since they are from Louisiana and more than likely in Louisiana the are thinking I wonder what they brought to eat, and most importantly what did they bring to drink.

I fail to see how that differs from one of our average WBCCI unit campouts or AIRForums events...

I love being around the large motor homes ; they are an excellent source of shade for us. Also, it is fun to listen to owners brag about how much theirs cost , complain about the milage and the cost of of fuel , and discuss where their last breakdown was and how costly and inconvenient it was to get fixed . We always welcome them for a tour and have met some great people who are often amazed that our AS is 50 years old.
