Has anybody stayed at....
...the Autumn Lakes Family Campground in Sunbury, Ohio?
We need to be in the Columbus area for a few days in August and would value the opinion of anyone who's been there.
Is there anywhere else around Columbus that deserves a mention?
We're not overly concerned about the $$ as the campground is a relatively small part of any trip cost, but somewhere that's clean and friendly will suit us.

Well, Sunbury is only a bit more than an hour from Jackson Center...

I highly recommend using campgroundreviews.com
Autumn Lakes Campground - Sunbury, OH - RV Park Reviews
Great website with honest reviews.
As for Jackson Center you can stay at the Terraport at the factory for $10 a night.

You might want to check out Delaware State Park, which is off of SR23. It is a little older state park, but it is a nice one with nice sites.

close to Columbus, takes passport america for midweek days.
nice but only electric at sites and the potable water was located by the dump stations.
After a full weekend their dumpsters were overflowing but were emptied by tuesday.
We would use again for the convenience to Columbus.
We have enough water for a week if we conserve

I like Alum Creek State Park, power only, but last few years switched across the street to Cross Creek, very nice, i take a power and water backin for a week every year while in Dublin for a festival. Lots of nice grass with backin sites, brick patio for table.

Thanks for all the replies, folks. Not yet decided but we're not going for a while so have some time to ponder. The KOA at Buckeye Lake was looking good but all the reviews complained of biting bugs; that guaranteed a big "NO" from the DW.
Ohio State Parks have been good to us so far so maybe that's where we'll end up...
