Has anybody ever installed a GPS vehicle tracker?

So, through a long and convoluted series of events I am finding myself in the possession of a bicycle GPS tracker. After setting it, this tracker will start sending location updates to a website when it detects movement and will continue to do so until deactivated or destroyed.

I don't have a bike that needs tracking, but I have been thinking about screwing this to my TV aerial. My storage arrangements are as safe as these things can be, but a tracker would make for an additional level of insurance.

Before I start hacking this together, has anybody ever installed a vehicle tracker that was actually meant for trailers?
