Harvest Host

I just discovered Harvest Host...thru Escapees...It is a program that one joins for $30.00 per year...and this allows one to join a network of wineries and farms that will accept your visit for fficially" one night of "free" camping at the winery or farm......

this , of course, it is implied that you will purchase some wine or vegetable or produce of the Harvest Host that you are visiting...
sounds really interesting...I have contacted a participating winery near Santa Fe and am trying to arrange our first visit....

Anyone heard of, or is participating in this program???

I believe that they posted here when they began. I think that it is an interesting concept. Please let us know how it works for you.

I just recently renewed my membership. I have stayed at some of the wineries up in Paso Robles and have been treated well by the owners. The people at Harvest Hosts were very accomidating in the beginning by sending me a few "test" locations that I could check out before joining.
I'm still working full time so I have not had the opportunity to utilize the network to it's fullest extent but from what I've seen they seem to select some nice places to include in their community.

Just stop in at our farm, (80 miles North of Old Faithful) and we will always find a spot to park your rig. BUT, no membership fee, no purchase required, (May share one of your beers or wine), and it is a vegetable/pumpkin farmers market ( Facebook - Laurel Farmers Market).

Just sayin

We just signed up for a membership - plan to get in a couple of uses this year. Working farms, wineries, and there are some breweries, as well, such as the Potosi Brewery in Potosi WI. Wouldn't have even known about it until we perused the HH directory.
Lots of places for us to get to right around the Great Lakes. Hundreds all over the country. Free parking, they just ask that you visit their tasting room, farmer's market, whatever, but no obligation.

We're a Host!

We are a Harvest Host here at Baker's Acres of Chenango. Have enjoyed 3 members spending the night here at the farm! It's really taking off - so many hosts out there now. We joined 2 years ago.

Thank you from Harvest Hosts

Harvest Hosts has been growing like crazy (we currently have over 400 farm and winery Hosts all across N. America and 2,000 RV members, many of whom own Airstreams) so it's been a while since we last posted, but we really wanted to say "thank you" to all of the wonderful Airstreamers that have joined Harvest Hosts!

You have been very good to us and we want to wish you all a wonderful holiday season!

This sounds like a great idea. We love to visit wineries and take the AS.
Hard to beat that. I was trying to find places to stay and follow the Southern IL wine trail.
This is good timing. I'll check it out.
(Yes, Missouri and IL have good wineries!)
