Hairdryer

Hello all. Just picked up my FC yesterday and the tech told me I had to use an 800w hair dryer. Advice please, Is this true? If yes, any recommendations on brand and where to buy. I searched the Internet and had limited results.

I've been around RVs and Airstreams for decades and this is the first I've heard of it. And I'm the person that performs the PDI's and walk through orientations of the new Airstreams and their owners at the dealership where I work.

Limited only when on generator.

DW uses a 1500 set on low, but you must find one that drops the heat not just the speed of the fan. I'm not allowed to touch it...brand???

Try this...

I have never bought a special hair dryer for our Airstream ( and we've had 3 Airstreams). I use a 1500 on high when we're hooked up to electricity and when we're using the generator. I use the high setting not the low. I do turn off the AC while drying my hair though as it tripped the breaker one time when I was drying my hair with the AC on.

We've never used anything different than at home. 1500 - 18-- watts. Just can't use the microwave, A/C, and hair dryer at the same time. We do use A/C and Hair dryer at the same time thought. Not an issue in our AS nor our old SOB.

I do recall one or two PARK breakers that tripped over the years though....park issue, not AS.

Thanks everyone. I'm relieved to hear because I could not find an 800 watt.
