Guy's weekend at Elkmont

So, I am really psyched and wanted some information from folks on here.

I am meeting up for a 4 day weekend with my groomsmen from my wedding for a "guy's weekend" trip, I was able to reserve a prime river side spot at elkmont campground in mid September this year.

I have never been, I did some googling, and found some nice looking hiking trails for sure. Just though I would get any feedback or really any useful information at all.

I know the campground has no sewer or electric...I have my generator and I chose a spot compatible with generator use during non-quiet hours.

I have a 54 gall FW tank...grey water as always will be the challenge assuming I even brave showers between total of 4 guys. I think we can swing extreme navy showers on one or perhaps 2 occasions during the stay...there are no bathhouses it seems so there is that.

I know this is right around Gatlinburg and I am somewhat familiar with stuff to do in that area as I have been (with kids) a few times....

I know many on this forum have been to this area and this campground and I thought they could give me valuable/useful travel info.

Thanks ahead of time. I am really looking forward to the trip.
