Thumbs down

If someone thinks I'm ain't gun or a hippy dippy click here, here and here.

I still feel the same way about this discussion on this site. It feels a lot like trolling. Especially when I know I can get this information from better sources, like a two second google search.

But \_(ツ)_/ I'm a hater.

Shotguns are legal and a carrying across state lines in your travel trailer is a non-issue. Is it a good trouble free option? Depends on what you want to defend with it. Animals, sure. People, sure if you see them coming. Close quarters? Not if you don't know how to handle it. A tactical shotgun course with a qualified instructor can help there. Pumping a shotgun is not going to scare people off, it's a myth. If anything, it's more likely to force them to charge you in an attempt to wrestle it away.

I could continue. Question answered.

PS: I have a shotgun in my AS right now. Fulltiming for about a year.

Guns on the Road Part 2

For whatever it is worth, think about the gun discussion what you want, but I advise that no one break into my trailer while I or the wife are inside.

We will have a shotgun,, at the least...

If some folks agree with my position that is ok, and if some folks don't agree with my position that is cool too!

I have never come here looking for approval, and I don't much care when folks disapprove, especially strangers.

This mindset allows civil debate to prevail.

Since the aluminum is not a lot thicker than a beer can if one is determined, a non accessible secure storage inside an Airstream for "whatever" seems like a real challenge.

The carry rules are such that leaving a device in the car to go into a store to comply with their "notice" at the door creates the challenge that my wife lacks a carry permit and could not be in the car at the same time.....

The same issue could apply to the trailer with some LEOs ion some states.

Heck, even sling shots are a problem here. No joke.

Of course you know that your wife being in the car with the gun is not an issue in AZ....

I believe your wife will be OK if the gun is in a secured lock box during your absence.
I also believe she will be OK if the gun is visible while she is in the vehicle.
But don't take my word for it. Check state laws.

This thread is closed. The material question is the same as before and if it has not been adequately addressed somewhere in 400-ish posts in the threads linked below, then there is no additional benefit by continuing the dialog here.
