Trip to Michigan

Going to Michigan July 1. Plan on going up the west side. Need advice on good campgrounds and things to see.

ludington state park. must see. beautiful. quiet. tough to get reservations...

From Ludington you could take the ferry across to Manitowoc Wisconsin or you could go North to Sleeping Bear Dunes NP. It's a good place to go and camp. You can try climbing the dunes. They are so steep gravity will pull you back down.

Hartwick Pines SP is a very nice campground and has Michigan's largest stand of virgin white pines in the lower peninsula.
