Great Smoky Mountains

Best campground in the Great Smoky Mountains??? Best vistas for fall colors? Any recommendations?

We've been to the Georgia Mountain Fairground in Hiawasee late Oct weekends several times. Forum group meets there in spring and fall. Nice views there. Word of wanring, most campgrounds in that area are already full for this seanson.

We love Campfire Lodgings in Asheville and I agree with Lily and Me...you have to take time to drive the 11 mile loop around Cades Cove. Smokey Mountains in the fall is absolutely beautiful!

A great fall hike would be "The Chimneys". The very last section to the top is or was challenging, but the view are wonderful. Might look in Bryson City, on the south side of the park to see if there are any campgrounds there.
