I found the picture of site #2 on campsite website. Looks great.
Now we have two more parks to go for in the future. (Henderson and Top Sail)
Thanks all, for great info.
Jeff

We travel to that area quite often. I have posted several entries on my blog at airstreamweekends.blogspot.com. Just search Grayton or Florida. We travel with kids but have always had a positive experience.

Topsail vs. Grayton

We are at Topsail now! Love it for it's tall pine trees and well landscaped sites. Well maintained, level concrete pads and no sand! I prefer to visit the beach not be parked in sand. To each his own! Topsail has a private beach accesable from the park by tram, hourly, or walk a mile. The shower houses are nice and the sites are best in loop 103. We also love to visit public beaches at will. Everything is so close but the traffic east of Destin is much less. It is Spring Break so it is wall to wall! You can see all the sites on their site so you know what you are getting! Also, check daily for openings. People cancel all the time! Also, watch the YouTube videos for Topsail!
Grayton is built in sandunes. Most sites are in sand. A few are concrete and few have full hookups. Grayton is not far if you want to go there for the day. They charge $5 to drive thru. We saw 3 Airstreams there yesterday!!!

The sun is shining on 30A
We're in Dune Allen at our beach house.
Took a week off from the '74 restoration in Houston, and to celebrate my birthday at the beach.
Weather has been rainy for the past couple of day, but the sun is out!!
Enjoy the wonderful lifestyle of Scenic 30A, and buy a "30A" tee shirt in Gulf Place to remember this special place.

Having compared the three parks... Grayton State Park, Henderson State Park and Topsail State Park, all are great. I'd pick the older sites at Grayton because of privacy and some are on the sound...bikes a great idea but walking is a good alternative. The beach is a nice walk away. Choose Henderson for the most beachy of the three. Nice private paved sites with clothes lines...really! Choose Topsail for more of a woodsey experience. Great place to have a kayak along. Henderson is located right off of 98 whereas the other 2 are on less traffic-filled roads.

Thanks Sandra. The way we like to camp, Grayton is perfect for us. I think we will have the bikes with us.
(A sewer hookup is nice, but for five nights, we should be ok..) (since we are in the old section of Grayton)

We just were at a rally in January. It was at Topsail state part right near there. That is a beautiful campground with trees and space in between rows. The beaches in the area are amazing. The donut hole is a long time favorite. There are many wonderful places to eat and drink. Many New Orleanians come there for vacation so you know its a good place to have fun. The Red Bar has great music, food and drinks.
You will not only have a good time, but probably come back. I wish I knew more about the camp ground itself.
