Grayton Beach question

Has anyone stayed at Grayton Beach State Park? My wife made a reservation for the week of July 20th for us and I know nothing about the campground except it doesn't offer sewer hook ups or cable.

Anyone know about the beach access and other amenities?

We stayed at Henderson Beach SP in Destin in Feb. We drove over to Grayton Beach SP to check it out. It was a pretty nice park. Not as nice as Henderson Beach but mwy likely be a bit quieter in the summer months as there will probably be much fewer partiers.

The campsites that back up to Western Lake seemed to be the best for our liking. All sites are pretty well shaded but those mentioned have a view.

EdIf you don't want to drive to the beach it will be a hot walk (given the time of day) 0f maybe 3/4 to 1 mile as I recall

It has some nice reviews on the website RV Park Reviews :: Home I have never been there myself I live about 40 miles from there I think devoman said he stayed there before???? SAM

We set up our tent and had a very good time there about 10 years ago. It was right after it was rated as one of the 10 best beaches in the US. Very close to the beach and easy access. You have been to the Can Opener so you already know about the surrounding area. The camp ground is basic but clean 2 years ago when we drove through on our way to the Can Opener to have a look around.
