Grand Tetons trip

We are planning a trip to the Grand Tetons. Any suggestions on places to stay near the park that are dog friendly would be greatly appreciated.

Grand Tetons trip

Just returned from there and stayed at Coulter Bay RV park on Jackson lake.Dog friendly with beautiful views.Suggest renting a boat and going out on the lake.Fishing is great also.

We did Coulter Bay initially during our Tetons trip, then discovered this place nearby:Gros Ventre Campground | Camping in the Grand Tetons | GTLC - Grand Teton Lodge Company

Since they don't take reservations at Gros Ventre its a toss up if there will be an available site (38 w electric) the day you arrive but it is worth checking before stopping at Coulter Bay which is just a giant RV warehouse park for Yellowstone overflow. Don't get me wrong, CB is nice, but it is large and we liked the serenity of Gros Ventre along the river. Be advised there may be more wildlife wandering through than expected when the Moose and Elk are herding. Plus GV is only about 10 miles to Jackson.

Just stayed at Gros Ventre site 168 and really enjoyed it.

One thing on Coulter Bay, I understand there are two campgrounds, a FCFS section and a RV Park that takes reservations. We did a dinner cruise out of there to Elk Island, the placed looked really nice. Worth mentioning is that Coulter Bay is considerably North in the Park and Gros Ventre is further south near Jackson.

Coulter Bay RV park is very close to the Tetons and inside the park.Has a good restaurant, grocery and laundry. We don't like crowds and this was a nice place to stay with lots of trees and right next to Jackson Lake. Was great for a home base .Call for reservations.

Either of the campgrounds referenced are convenient and accommodating. We were there in early July and the weather and scenery was incredible. Click image for larger version
