Good place to spend thanksgiving

Hello everyone

My wife and I looking for a place to spend Thanksgiving. We live around Toledo
and were looking to travel no more than eight hours. We also need a camp ground with public showers. No Airstream yet.
Any help would be great.

Thanks
Kelley

Best place I ever spent Thanksgiving was as a volunteer serving dinner at the Salvation Army.

Hi from Ga. . .good idea from a fellow Gator, we may do that this year too. T Day at Gramma's isn't quite what it used to was, anyhow. We buy all, fix/cook all, and then deliver to Grandma's and 20+/- kinfolk show up, eat all AND want to take turkey home for sandwiches (1 group of 4 actually came with a store-bought pie) ! Gramma's just not up to the entertaining/cleaning up after, sooooo.I'm really not complaining, much, just saying.....Gatorboys idea is sounding pretty attractive to me. Happy T Day to ALL and regards, Craig

Kelley,

Welcome to the forums! We are in Arkansas, and have only been through Jackson Center, so I am not much help in OH, but we enjoy state parks when we can. They are usually cheap and clean, and near something you want to see or do. State parks stay open year round from here on south, but I don’t know what you have for winter options.

Happy Travels, and Thanksgiving!

turkey and gone

we had a wonderful buffet at the Gage Hotel in Marathon, Tx; two kinds of turkey, Ham, wild boar dressing as well as the traditional...fancy mashed taters as well as sweet potatoes...many types of salads and a desert buffet to die for... walked about a mile from the marathon motel and RV park to the Hotel and a mile back ...so i could double dip at the desert trough

had to wash dishes to pay the tab though....$42 bucks a head
