I don't know how many of you are already aware of this government good deal. I found out this week from another camper that I was eligible for the Federal GOLDEN ACCESS PASSPORT Card. I didn't know what it was. He told me, since I was permanently disabled, that I was entitled to this card. I allows me to enter all Federal Fees sites, such as National Parks, National Forests, Bureau of Reclamation lands, Fish & Wildlife areas, Corps of Engineers and Tennessee Valley Authority recreational facilities for
FREE and
camping fees are 50%. Wow! This is going to save me alot of money since I use those facilities almost exclusively.
So I went and got one today.
If you are permanently disabled and receive some sort of Federal compensation, just bring a doctor's letter or in my case, as a disabled veteran, a letter of disability qualification from the VA, to a participating Federal facility that requires fees and they will issue you one.
