One thing we found that will help avoid some of the crowds is to go the back of the park you are visiting and do those attractions first. Kind of a "reverse psychology" thing. There will be a lot of people almost any way you choose to visit the parks, though. But, I've got to give Disney credit, they really know how to move the people through the attractions efficiently!! Front to rear, rear to front, it will be the trip of a lifetime!

you will have to let me know how it turns out (and post some pics)! We have reservations for cinderalla's royal table one of the nights we are there and are thinking about thr bipity bopity botique before we go to dinner. My little girl is getting so excited.
We went to seaworld last year, I made the mistake of telling my little girl where we were going before we left. she didnt get to sleep until 4 am at the hotel the night before... she turned into a pumpkin after lunch! we still had a lot of fun. I think I will try a different strategy this time!

LOL.... Our strategy is all are packed in one large truck away from the kids. kids will be in 2 of the 3 vehicles. We will pull out 4am, tell them we are on a short trip, pray they sleep for a bit. Halfway down, fill'em in on the real destination, and ride the wave of excitement in.... all the adults are past the point of excitement. Can't wait to see the looks on our kids faces, ranging from 17-1 yoa.

Since you are going at THE busiest time of year for Disney, the crowds could be large. If you go into the parks accepting that and just relax everyone will have a better time. Don't forget to do the Chip & Dale campfire sing-a-long at Fort Wilderness. It's a free Character Meet and Greet and fun for the kids. You can also roast marsh mellows over the fire. There is a movie shown afterwards. If you aren't staying at Ft Wilderness you can hop the boat from the Magic Kingdom over to the Fort to see it.

You just go - first come first serve on seating so if you are late bring some chairs. I bring hot dogs and buns - they will have a campfire there for marshmellows, we do those too but save time cooking at the camper with cooking and eating hot dogs there. We bring our own fire sticks - again they sell them but why pay for theirs. They have a concession stand - some hot stuff and drinks at Disney prices so again - bring your own. It's kinda open so if you are worried about the weather then bring blankets.

Chip and Dale are only there in the beginning so the time is brief - get in there and get pictures. Movies ate announced well in advance and can be from the early Disney B&W to the more recent releases. Sing along is always fun.

Also, depending on what side you sit on depends on if you get chip or dale.

All GREAT advice... all I can add is pack fewer clothes and more money. Wilderness is one thing you will not find at Fort Wilderness. Enjoy!!!

We will be in one of the loops by the marina, how feasable is it to come back to FW for an hour or two and go back to the magic kingdom in the afternoon? Is this too much effort to get through the transportation system to make the nap worthwhile?
