Gettin ready for our first camp out and I've got a question

so we are getting exited. been restoring our 77 argosy minuet for a while now and gona take her out on her first trip. everything seems good to go and i made reservations at a campground. but here is my question. my campsite has a 30 amp hookup, is that going to be enough for our trailer. its only a 20 foot but im sure i will have the ac on, fridge on, and a small 19 inch tv. there is no microwave and we will be using the gas stove for cooking so will i be blowing the 30 amp or should things be ok.

you should be fine, especially if the TV is flat screen.

You will be fine. I have a 20' Safari with convection oven, a/c, 19" flat screen, super fan and a wife with a hair dryer. I yet to blow a 30 amp hook-up. As stated earlier be aware of what's on when the microwave is running.
Enjoy your maiden voyage!

tv? your camping, you can watch that at home. We bring the lap top for the kids to watch movies on if the weather gets bad.

May you have at least one sunny day, and a soft chair to sit in..

I think the 50a hookups have become popular with the large motorhomes that have multiple AC units and all the bells & whistles. Most of us with older AS's are a bit on the leaner side of power usage and the 30a service is just right. The only limitation on mine is there is a cutoff switch over the sink and you can use the AC or the microwave but not both at the same time. It has been a non issue with us but that's how it's wired.

Enjoy your travels and see ya on the road sometime
