Unhappy Get out while you still can!

As warm and inviting the weather has been Florida has not been good to me.
I have had:

two flat tires on my trailer.
A Cracked windshield on my truck right in front of the driver.
A spray paint can explode under the wheel front left wheel of the truck.
And now something landed on my trailer while travelling down I-75 north of Ft Myers. Big, Huge Dent! About $3000 to fix.

The first one was discovered at my sisters. Tire had to be replaced. Second one was discovered yesterday as I was chocking the tries at the RV place.

The cracked windshield occured in the rain on the way to the Can Opener. A rock hit a the bassed of the windshield right by the VIN plate. I watched this grow over several days.

The paint can happened at Atlantic and Kernan in Jacksonville. There were several of them in the road and as much as I tried I could not miss them all. Fortunately I hit the sky blue one so it is not that noticeable.

And yesterday I heard something hit the truck or trailer rolling down I-75 yesterday afternoon around 1600-1630. I looked in the rear view mirrow and could see nothing. I kept going for another hour or so. When I got out to look at my parking spot at the RV park. I saw it. I was pissed. I never saw it so it came from above. Something was thrown or fell of a bridge.

I even said to the service folks yesterday that my trailer is now 100% again. That did not last long.

I am curently in Nalpes visiting with my Aunt. I am supposed to be heading to Key West on Monday but I am not sure that is a good idea. Whats next rouge wave sweeping everything into the ocean?

Actually depending on who you talk to I am leaving Florida for the Conch Republic. So I guess I am good for a few days. I will be at the Boyds Key west Campground until Saturday. Stop by if you are in the area PM first. I will be either sailing, Snorkling or Kayaking most of the time.

I am thinking bad karma in this state.

Ouch Michelle!
That hurts, all of it, but especially the dent. I'd like to catch the person that did it. But then I might lose my freedom....
Hope things improve. Karma

Michelle, Truly sorry for all the problems. Try to relax and enjoy the great weather. Hopefully all the bad thing have happened and the rest of your stay will make up for the bad.

Thanks once more for suppling the ride to town, sauage, and spice for the jambalaya. I just finished making it for a party of 10 and I'm getting better.

". . .Fortunately I hit the sky blue one so it is not that noticeable." Hmmm, the discerning eye of an artistic driver! In the middle of the crazies, you got a color match! Heading to the Keys, how can your karma be anything but good? Be sure and check out Long Key State Park along the way--it's easy to miss, just a straight spit of sand with primitive camping, looking out to sea. Someday we are going to camp there. Enjoy all the fun that the Keys send your way, and safer travels on from there! Wish we'd had time to get better acquainted at the Can Opener~G

Yowza. That is one homely divot! Kind of adds a little panache though, especially with baby-blue wheel-wells. Have fun forgetting it all as you gaze into the blue...

Hi, sorry to hear all the bad news; Sounds like, if it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have had any luck at all.
Ouch, that dent hurts like as if it were me instead of your trailer.

What a rotten thing to happen to your trailer, and for that matter your truck too. It is my nature to take stuff like that personally for a while when it happens to me. Fortunately my wife knows it and seems to get me through the angst without me getting too blue.

With all the miles you are putting on and the varied territory you are travelling through I guess one should expect some issues but they seem to jump out and find you.

If positive thoughts help you certainly have a load of them coming from us. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Ouch! So sorry about the dent.

But now you've used up all the bad karma so only good will be coming your way.

Unhappy Bummer!

Wow that's some bump! I am so glad you came through this safely.

Thank goodness for insurance, and I am so glad that it did not go through your windshield if it was something thrown off a bridge, could have been much worse.

Here's hoping the rest of your travels are safe for you, your vehicle, and your trailer!!
