You just have to talk/post a lot. No skills involved.

Here's what I learned from Stefrobrts not too long ago:

Here is the breakdown on earning the rivets that appear below our user names. This is just a fun way to see who has the most posting action.

500 posts will get you to the Master level. All of a sudden I was a master when I had shot my mouth off the 500th time. So there you go, if you have good info for everybody, stick it on here.

And then there are people— like me— who gave up on rivets and just put in a custom descriptor.

In my case, "Figment of my imagination." I'm not so certain of myself as René Descartes was when he said his famous quotable. In my case, I think, therefore I think I am!

So, how do you change your descriptor? I don't see an option of how I got mine in the first place. Thanks.

Go to "UserCP."
Select "Edit Your Details" under "Your Control Panel" on the left.
Scroll down to "Optional Information."
Under "Custom User Title" put in whatever you want to appear instead of your rivet status.

That's if you're doing it from a computer using the full AirForums page. If you're doing it from a tablet or smartphone app instead, I don't know if the procedure would be the same.
