Gambrill State Park in Maryland

Has anyone camped at Gambrill State Park in Maryland? We are considering the electric loop. Can you provide a review?

We anticipate that during non rush hour traffic it would take 45 minutes to 1 hour in travel time to Rockville MD. Are we correct in our assumption?

Gambrill is ok, but personally in the Frederick area I would gravitate towards Cunningham Falls near Thurmont MD. More specifically the "Houck" area of the park. It is however a bit further away from Rockville than Gambrill.

BTW, if you want camping even closer to Rockville, you might look into Little Bennett Regional Park near Clarksburg. About halfway between Frederick and Rockville.
