I'm becoming concerned. What is going to be the breaking point for gas prices? The price escalation is pandemic. Crazylev may have the right idea. Tow our airstreams with bicycles-tandems for extra power, recliners for sightseeing, unicycles for tight city driving.

$1.89 for reg. unleaded for over a week now in Tullahom, TN. Nashville seems to be .02-.04 per gallon higher than here on a regular basis.

Today Reg. $2.17 to $2.24 up about 12 cents in one week
Diesel $2.19 to $2.25

In the imortal words of Jackie Gleason "and away we go"
You ain't seen nothing yet, I think the whole country is in for a hosing; a la California power shortage.

Fuel prices slowing down Airstream purchases?

In the past, high fuel prices and/or high interest rates have "thrown cold water" on RV sales. Anyone know if that's the case this year?

In eastern IA $1.89 is pretty common. You can pay MORE however! I haven't heard how RV dealers are doing... I'll be at a couple of them this week, I'll ask.

I will. I've put exactly 29.4 miles on my truck in the last month, and that was only to get heavy things like beer & a pool filter. (It's this rare pool filter that runs on beer, not me ...)

Interestingly enough, RV sales are robust. Per RV Business, 5th Wheel sales up 20% in March. Texas Rv Park resevations up 5-20%. Motorhome sales up 7.9% in March. Thor's sales revenue up 65%. Things look prety rosey despite gas prices. All info from RV Business.

I guess we should feel better than our neighbors across the big pond- I think in Paris, gas is around $5.00 a gallon!

it is ridiculous. I have a diesel and have a hard time paying what I am paying these days for it. Hopefully the prices will come down some soon. It would cost over $100 to fill my rig at $5 per gallon!

This afternoon posted you can read at, www.rvbusiness.com/output.cfm?ID=818857,
pertains to fuel prices. Yesterday, Ontario canada reported $1.00/liter.
2 weeks ago I think it was Bruno of france said gas in France was the equivalent to $4.34/gal U.S. for unleaded. $3.41/gal for diesel, and $1.50/gal propane.

Unfortunately, that website requires you to give them your e-mail address before they let you in. No thanks. I already get more spam than I care to deal with.
