Just curious, with gasoline in California headed for $3.00 a gallon, do you think it would ever be possible to license a refinery or offshore drilling in California to improve the west coast supply situation which, I am assuming is getting you folks.

Diesel is hanging around $1.65 around here while unleaded is about $1.90 most places and over $2 in Dripping Springs. I filled with diesel for $1,579 the other day.

With diesel$.30 to $.40 less than regular, I'm sure glad I'm towing with a diesel.

I take off for PA Tuesday. My only change will be to hang at 60 instead of 65. At 60, the Duramax is right on the torque peak and gets close to 16 mpg towing. It probably won't add more than 2 hours to my trip there.

Jeez.

I just filled up the VW Eurovan from about empty....$50.00 in Premium!!!!!

And that did not even include a receipt .

My van has a worst drinking problem than me!

I just might tow my 19' with a bicycle like that fellow in the old AS photo.

We've discovered that many gas stations have a $50 cut-off for paying at the pump with credit cards. It takes two trips to fill up the van - that bad boy takes about $75 a tank at about 2.25 a gallon! That comes out to just over $200 in gas for our little jaunt to CA and back this weekend. Oh well, it was still worth it!

Just got back from Santa Barbara premiun $3.11 per gallon. Worth it too see my one and only daughter. Next time I'll pay her not to work the weekend and take the train to come home. If we consumers were smart we would control our spending and force competitive among retail gas prices as a group. Now who wants too take the lead?
