Thumbs up Porky

I see you have all your chitlins in one bag - bravo! good link.

A little paranoia can go a long way sometimes, especially for the insecure.

What I heard - from ABC news - is that there will be a sharp, early summer increase, but will also drop by July.

Well guys let me see I've got 8,000 miles to pull @ 12.5 mpg = 640 gallons of #2 diesel @ $2.00 =$1280.00 for fuel. My friend just replaced his 454 that got 8.5 mpg with a PowerStroke and he is going on the same trip with me he would have used 940 gallons @ $2.00 =$1880.00 a difference of $600.00 by using a PowerStroke in liew of a Chevy 454.

Those diesels are really nice - until a major repair job appears and then it's "oh my gawd!"

If you really do put on a lot of miles every year, & climb the highest mountains, they're worth every penny & the envy of all of the people you chug past on the grades.

Doing a lot of miles per year may actually fund a major repair job or two and still come out ahead.

I just bought a Dodge Hemi gas guzzler - 'cause I like to do a small number of miles per year over many years and not have a cerebral hemorrhage at the repair shop.

fuel prices

Regular gas now at $2.20; add $0.10 per grade as you go up so self serve premium at about $2.40+. As of Sat nite. Stay tuned for Sunday. We are definitely paying higher state taxes + whatever else, only the Lord knows.

It looks like it's going to get worse before it gets any better. Memorial Day & July 4th are historically 'high-water' marks for fuel prices.

When will it stop?

Diesel fuel in North Idaho has skyrocketed from $1.72 to $2.01 per gallon since I started this thread 30 days ago.

Diesel is now the most expensive fuel around here.

fuel prices

Our price for regular is $2.20 today and it's been higher and little lower over the last few weeks. About $5.00 gal in Germany/The Netherlands according to a friend stationed in Germany.

Georgia gas taxes are low so our prices are supposed to be also...today I paid 1.78 for regular.
Guess my summer trip(s) will be a bit shorter this year. Less gas, More beer!

Don't let them know you are enjoying the beer, GA will do like MI and raise the tax on it.
