Front curved pexiglass window shield blowoff!

On way to Satellite Beach on Fl turnpike the two turn lock screws decided to let go of window shield of port side. In only a minute it had ruptured the pexiglass and warped the aluminum farme. Thank g.d it the hinges held. I was at Jackson center this past summer and I noticed an Airstream with bungee cords strapped across the whole front.
