From Gunflint Pines to Olympia Washington

Hey you two,

We came across upper WA state, through the North Cascades, along the Yaak and Skagit Rivers----beautiful, spectacular mountains, rivers and scenery. We got a look at the Olympic Peninsula yesterday and spent last night in Gig Harbor visiting family. Heading to Seattle today for a couple of nights, then Payullup for a visit with fellow travelers a few nights, then starting to work our way down the coast.

I know of at least one fellow-AS Forum couple besides we four doing the same thing---Jim & Mary, are you out there? Maybe we can do a mini-rally in Oregon.

Hey Doug and Mary,

We just traveled across southern BC on Highway 3. It may be one of the most beautiful sections of highway on earth. We will be in Vancouver/Whistler areas for a bit, then spend the Labor Day weekend in Port Townsend, WA at the Marina campground. Then we will be heading down 101 along the coast. If you take your time, we can catch up to you for that mini-rally!

arrived in Olympia, Lacey to be exact, at the Washington Land Yacht Harbor visiting with Bob and Donna for a few days...surveying the local area before heading to Fort Stevens, OR for two nights Sun and Mon next week...the dreaded Labor day weeking will be split between Sunset Bay, Port Orford and Harris beach on Mon and tue Sept 6 and 7....
